1st Croatian Health Economics Workshop

Opatija (Croatia), 8-10 June 2023

You are kindly invited to submit your abstract or interest to attend the first Croatian Health
Economics Workshop. The workshop aims to stimulate a closer collaboration between
scholars with interest in health, labour and public economics, within Croatia, Central and
Eastern Europe as well as internationally. More generally, the workshop hopes to serve as a
platform for exchanging best practices and transferring knowledge within Central and
Eastern Europe and the international community.

In the spirit of a workshop, each paper will be allocated 35 minutes, including a presentation
by the author (15 mins), followed by feedback from an allocated discussant (15 mins) and
a general discussion (5 min). Submissions by students and early career researchers are
encouraged. The number of participants will be strictly limited.

The workshop will take place in-person in Opatija (Croatia) and will kick off in the evening of
Thursday 8th June and close in the early afternoon of Saturday 10th June 2023.

The deadline for submissions of 350 words abstracts or interest to join as discussant is the 17th March 2023.

The outcome of the selection process will be notified by the 1st April
2023. Authors whose papers are accepted to the workshop are expected to send the full
manuscript no later than the 12th May 2023.
