Social events

The registration fee includes an exciting scientific programme and a Welcome reception (Tuesday evening) and Social event (Thursday evening) at spectacular venues that showcase Rotterdam. In addition, you will have the opportunity to join several early morning activities (i.e. yoga, bootcamp and runs) to start your day invigorated. Pre-registration is required.

Welcome reception
Date: Tuesday 14 July - 18.00-21.00 hrs.
Venue: nhow Rotterdam ,The Loft, 6th floor
Tuesday evening marks the opening reception. Come network and enjoy drinks and bites while taking in an amazing view of the River Maas at the nhow hotel.


 
Social event
Date: Thursday 16 July - 19.00-23.00 hrs.
Venue: Laurenskerk
On Thursday all delegates are invited for the main social event. In the historic Laurenskerk, we will enjoy delicious food, a DJ, competitive games, and of course, opportunities to network.

Early morning activities:

All Early morning activities are currently booked out due to popular demand.

Early morning Run 5 km or 10 km
Date: Wednesday July 15 - 7.00-8.00 hrs.
Starting point: Sports building-Erasmus University Rotterdam

Participants should check in inside the Erasmus Sports Building. From there, we will leave in two groups and run 5 or 10 km through Rotterdam. The building opens at 06:30 am and provides changing rooms, code‑operated lockers, and showers. Please bring your own towel. Water will be available for everyone.

LGBTQ+ Drinks
 
Date: Wednesday, July 15 - 18:45-20:00 hrs.
Location: De Maaskantine (within walking distance from the conference venue)
 
The European Committee for LGBTQ+ Economists (ECQE) is hosting an informal get-together for LGBTQ+ economists and allies at EuHEA.
 
ECQE aims to increase visibility of the diverse identities in the economics profession, to provide a platform to highlight the work of economists who mindfully address issues of relevance to the LGBTQ+ community, and to support LGBTQ+ researchers with networking events, mentoring opportunities, and professional development activities.
 
Whether you work on LGBTQ+ topics, identify as LGBTQ+, or simply want to meet and support colleagues in the community, we would be very happy to see you there.
Drinks are at your own expense. Dinner and bites can also be ordered at the venue.

Bootcamp

Yoga

The morning after the EuHEA party, join fellow participants for a gentle yoga practice designed to help you reset, stretch, and recharge. This session offers a peaceful start before the conference program begins. No experience needed—just bring your breath, your towel, and a willingness to unwind.
