PhD Conference 2023

September 07–08, 2023

University of Bologna, Italy

The Department of Economics of the University of Bologna is proud to host the 10th EuHEA PhD & Supervisor Conference, to be held in Bologna on September 7-8, 2023.
The PhD & Supervisor conference presents a valuable opportunity for PhD students and early career researchers in the field of health economics to present their on-going research and receive important feedback from colleagues with expertise in their field of study.
A specific feature of the EuHEA PhD & Supervisor conference is that all presented papers will be discussed by another student's supervisor. This format and the friendly working environment make this conference an excellent place to gain new insights, get feedback and network with peers. Good Italian food and the charm of Bologna nicely complement the picture! PhD students should attend the conference with their supervisor or a postdoctoral researcher. However, it is not mandatory. Three presentation formats are available: full paper, short presentation and a poster presentation. The desired format can be chosen when submitting the abstract. In case of a full paper presentation, at least a working paper/ draft paper should be available for the discussant by the end of July.
The keynote speaker will be Prof. Jérôme Adda, Professor of Economics at the Bocconi University.
The conference session format (full paper, around 45 slots):
25 minutes presentation by the author
15 minutes discussion by another student’s supervisor
10 minutes for questions and general discussion
The conference session format (short presentation, around 20 slots):
15 minutes presentation by the author
5 minutes general discussion
We look forward to welcoming you in Bologna!
